Our Story
About the Creator
Blockistry was created by Finnish inventor and designer Eetu Taivalantti.
With a background in engineering and education, Taivalantti has long been interested in how simple systems can produce complex and surprising results. Blockistry emerged from this curiosity: a search for a puzzle that would feel both intellectually engaging and aesthetically satisfying.
The result is a minimal system of four identical pieces that transform into an evolving series of geometric forms. At the same time, the project reflects a broader interest in sustainable design. Blockistry pieces are produced in Finland using an innovative biocomposite made from brewing side streams, turning waste into a durable and tactile material.
Today Blockistry sits somewhere between puzzle, design object, and small interactive sculpture. It is intended to invite curiosity, patience, and a sense of playful exploration.
